EXECUTIVES

Richard Nathan, Chairman of the Board, President
Richard Nathan has over 30 years experience as a principal in the real estate industry. Mr. Nathan is the owner of National Commercial Ventures, LLC (NCV) and Brentwood Asset Management and Advisory Group, LLC (BAM). He built the company over the last ten years essentially without any partners. His background covers virtually every facet of real estate including development, rehabilitation, acquisition and disposition of apartments, office buildings, industrial buildings, condominiums, shopping centers and medical office buildings. Mr. Nathan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University in Pennsylvania.

Neil Schimmel, Chief Investment Officer
Neil Schimmel has been providing services to NCV since 1993. He has been actively involved in apartment buildings around the country since 1979. His expertise lies in asset acquisition, disposition, structured finance and special situations. Previous experience includes the positions of Certified Public Accountant with the accounting firm of Kenneth Leventhal and Co. and a partnership with Capitol Properties. Mr. Schimmel graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in Accounting and Real Estate. Previously he was a Certified Public Accountant and California Contractor C-27, California State Real Estate Licensee admitted 1979, and currently holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license.

Michael Miller, Chief Financial Officer
Michael Miller has 25 years of experience in real estate and is certified in California as a Certified Public Accountant and a Real Estate Broker. His vast knowledge includes public accounting and private industry. His public accounting experience includes audit and tax services for Kenneth Leventhal & Company and American Express Tax and Business Services. His private industry experience includes Director of Finance and Administration for American Realty Advisors, Chief Financial Officer for Raffi Cohen Enterprises, Colich & Sons and Wesco Enterprises. Michael has been involved with NCV for three years. He graduated from California State University, Northridge in Business Administration with Magna Cum Laude honors.

Greg Beach, Controller and Director of Administration
Greg joined NCV as the Controller in 2005 and has also become the Director of Administration. His successful eighteen years in the real estate industry include extensive experience in the renovation and repositioning of assets. He has successfully managed commercial and multifamily portfolios with Anchor Pacifica, Casden Properties, American Realty Advisors and Stratus Real Estate. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree from California State University, Northridge.

Chris Heller, Director of Asset Management
Mr. Heller has 10+ years of experience in residential real estate, including almost five years with BAM. He has also worked for a specialized property management firm in Chicago as the Director of Leasing and Marketing. Working for Realty & Mortgage Co. he
had become completely fluent in all aspects of property management. Mr. Heller has excellent leasing, project, capital and construction management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Architectural Design from the University of Colorado.

Lee Markle, Director of Acquisitions
Lee is Director of Acquisitions for NCV. His 30 years of experience as a broker include multifamily sales, office building sales and leasing. He was office manager for Bartlett, McGreal investments, and owner of LJ Markle Investments prior to joining NCV. His involvement in acquisitions includes special emphasis on the Las Vegas and Denver markets.

Andrew Levin, Director of Dispositions
Andrew Levin has been working with BAM and Investor’s Management Group since February 2006. He built a very successful career in technology sales before returning to multifamily real estate. His experience in serving clients in the construction, architecture, property development and network security fields have given BAM valuable insight with their relationship and information management. Andrew has become an integral member of the Acquisition, Property Management and Disposition process. He holds numerous computer technology certifications as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Tracy Thong, Director of Closings and Special Projects
Tracy has been with NCV since March of 2001. As the closing coordinator for the company, Tracy facilitates all aspects of the due diligence and loan process by fully engaging in all matters involving escrow/title, third parties, legal and mortgage finalization. Tracy graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a licensed Broker for the state of California.

Lara Akkerman, Director of Accounting
Lara joined NCV as the Director of Accounting in November 2005.  She is responsible for overview of financial statements, cash management and payroll. She has worked with Charter Realty Group, Stratus Real Estate and Airport Metals.  Lara earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics from Odessa University, Ukraine.
